FORMERLY OF WATERBURY AND PROSPECT Vero Beach, FL Mr. Ronald Frederick William Ceccherini, age 68, our beloved brother entered eternal peace on Sunday, January 24th in Vero Beach, FL. Mr. Ceccherini was born in Waterbury on January 28, 1947 son of the late Frederick William and Helen (Kowalewski) Ceccherini. Ron served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He received his master’s in Finance from UCONN and was a member of the Professional Business Fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. He was an appraiser for the Office of Policy and Management for the State of Connecticut until he retired in 2003. He also sold real estate in the family business, Superior Homes. He was an active member of several of the International Order of Odd Fellows: the Mechanics Lodge No. 73, the Thomas C. Hollis Crusaders, Hope Encampment No. 26, the Canton T. R. Martin No. 8, Patriarchs Militant, Winona Rebekah Lodge No. 8. He served as Grand Patriarch of the Grand Encampment of CT from 2005-2006, and became a Life Member of Fairview and the Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut. He had a passion for scuba diving and spent many winters in the Cayman Islands. He loved playing cards with family and also competed in many tournaments as a member of the Lega Siciliana Social Club in Waterbury. He was very competitive and would often challenge you to a game of Chess or Backgammon. He enjoyed an excellent meal and would frequent his favorite restaurant, Carmen Anthony’s. He is survived by his two sisters, Linda LeBrun and Theresa LeBrun and her husband, Robert all of Prospect; his niece, Kimberly LeBrun of Denver, Colorado, his nephew Robert LeBrun Jr. and wife, Courtney from Watertown, his niece, Stephanie Rua and husband Cesar from Naugatuck, and his nephew, Nicholas LeBrun of Prospect. He is also survived by his great nephews and nieces: Matthew Wahl, Isabella Rua, Landon and Brianna LeBrun. Besides his parents, Ron was pre-deceased by a nephew, Kevin LeBrun.
