Ronald Eugene Fairchild, 58, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, June 12th at his home. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Russell Dale Fairchild of Pensacola, FL and the late Patricia (Belcher) Burkett. Ron was employed at Aetna for over thirty years. He enjoyed playing softball, was a longtime member of the Bristol Fish and Game Club and a member of a bowling league for many years, winning several trophies. Ron was an avid outdoorsman, a dedicated father and a very generous and trusting friend. Along with his father, Ron is survived by his son, Ronald E. Fairchild, II of East Hartford; two sisters, Rhonda Leatham of St. Petersburg, FL and Ruth Mendonca of Kissimmee, FL and several nieces and nephews.
