Ronald Erwin Nix, 78, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at The Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty Nix; his brother Michael A. Nix; his sister, Virginia Nix; his daughter, Michelle Nix Rathmann and husband DJ Rathmann; his daughter, Roxane Hebert Dowd and husband Kevin Dowd; his grandchildren, Bailey Rathmann and Alicia Dowd Adams; and his great-grandchild, Isabella Adams.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Nix; his mother Amy Richardson Nix; his brothers, Charles Nix, Bob Nix and Howard Nix; his sister, Alice Nix Schmitz; and his sons, Louis, Paul and Mark Hebert.
Ron was born on April 3, 1937 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He served in the United States Air Force as a crew member on C-124’s.
