Ronald Edward LaClair ” Big Ron or Moose”, 85 of Melbourne Florida passed away unexpectedly on Sunday Jun e 24, 2018 with family at his side.
Ronald was born on May 5, 1933 in St. Paul Minnesota.
Then later in life after retiring from the US Army and after the loss of his wife he met Billie Joann Woodring and her four son’s Richard, Brett, Leslie, and youngest Derek. They were married on January 2, 1977 and for the next 41 years they shared a wonderful loving marriage where they raised 8 children together and several grandchildren. Even with such a large family they both agreed no matter what trials they faced they would stick together through thick and thin. They stood firm there were no favorites. He ruled with a firm hand and never wavering love for his 8 children, 19 grandchildren , and 24 great grandchildren.
One of his favorite past times was speck fishing with his friend Jerry Fresse. Ronald also had another passion that was helping with the crippled and burned children through the Azan Shrine. Ronald was a Mason and Past Master of Harbor City Lodge (1986) and Past Potentate of Azan Shrine (1996)
