Ronald Duane Claussen, age 72 passed away at FWB Medical Center on June 15, 2013, after a long fight with COPD and lung cancer. Ron was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on June 10, 1941, to Robert D. and Donna Rose Claussen. Ron moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1970 from Michigan and worked in the plumbing field until retiring from Southern Plumbing and Heating Company in 2003. Ron also honorably served his country for four years in the Air Force. He loved fishing and golfing with his friends.
Ron was predeceased by his mother Donna Claussen and father Robert Duane Claussen. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Claussen; his son Mikel Claussen; his sisters Kay (Tim) Richard and Judy Claussen; his step-mother Catherine Claussen; and step-sisters Jeanette Kennedy, Sue (Rodney) Carlan, and Ann (Randy) Loyed; and Brother-and Sister-in-law, Charles and Phyllis Wilkinson, along with many nieces and nephews.
