Ron Doshier died quietly at home with Sally and some old friends by his side on November 29, 2021. He was 72. \
Those who knew and loved Ron remember his passion for hiking and the outdoors. He was a quiet and kind soul, who loved music (especially Bluegrass!) and old movies. He served in the US Navy for three years as a medical corpsman at Bethesda Naval Medical Center in the early 1970’s, and then went on to a long and successful career as an RN.
Ron married Sally in 1978, and they worked together as nurses across the western US for more than 30 years. More importantly, they travelled the world hiking, backpacking, and exploring. The final trip this summer was to Iceland-though the bucket list still had quite a few remaining items. Ron had a full life.
He loved his family, his friends, and cared that humans take care of one another. He will be missed, though we are relieved that his suffering is past. We are especially grateful for the kind care of Maggie’s hospice during the final weeks of his life.
