….A native of Pulaski, VA, he served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ron was a retired Air Traffic Controller for Washington Center in Leesburg, VA . He was instrumental in setting up the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad, and was a life member. Ron was one of the first Cardiac Techs in the field and also served as Chief. He was a member of the Masons. Ron was a loving husband, father, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy Smith and Pearl to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Danaura Stockstill Smith; his daughter, Donna (Scott) Luttrell; and his caring friend, and caregiver, Philip Foret, and his wife, .
