Ronald Guy, 69, of Palm Bay, Florida, died September 5, 2019, at Advent Hospital in Orlando, Florida surrounded by family.

He was born on January 21, 1950, in LaGrange, Georgia. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph McMahon Guy and Billie Ruth Guy Freeman. Ronald came to Coweta County as a young man who attended Moreland Elementary and Newnan High School. He served in the United States Army for 6 years, receiving the National Defense and Service Medal. Later, Ron attended Truett-McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia and North Carolina State in Raleigh, North Carolina. Combining education and life experiences shadowing his dad, Ron worked as an Electrical Engineer at Duke Fluor Daniel for over 20 years. His work took him all over the country, in addition to Indonesia and Iraq.

Over the years, Ronald loved restoring Corvairs and connected with others who shared this hobby. Ronald was married to Patricia Olson Guy, who preceded him in death. Surviving Mr. Guy are his wife, Connie Phelps Guy, of Palm Bay, Florida, daughters Dena Evans (Donny) and Emma Shelnutt (Jason), granddaughters Ashley Perry (Weston) and Anna Beth Shelnutt, grandsons Daniel Evans and Parker Shelnutt, and great-grandsons, Amos and Carter, all of Newnan, Georgia.

In addition, Ronald leaves behind 4 sisters, Brenda Gillespie (Bill), Shirley Oliver (Larry), Rhunae Bovington (Jim), Robin Matthews (Mark), 2 brothers, Bryant Guy (Debbie) and Michael Guy (Nancy), and a plethora of nieces and nephews.
