Ron Wilkinson of Nampa/Meridian, Idaho, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at home after a courageous and dignified battle with ALS. We are grateful for the kind and tireless care provided by his wife Sherry over the past several months as this disease took its toll. Ron faced this challenge as he faced the other challenges in his life without complaint and a strong desire to not be a burden to those around him.
Ron had many careers throughout his life working as a chef, realtor, and owned several successful businesses as well as raising Paint horse and hay farming. He will be most remembered as an honest and hard-working truck and car salesman for more than 17 years. He always wore a cowboy hat and was respected by his employers, co-workers and customers alike. Ron had an easy demeanor and a kind word for everyone he met. He was always busy with projects and demonstrated an excellent work ethic and was liked by all who met him.
He is survived by his wife Sherry of 29 years, his children Jay, Kirk (Karen) and Lauri ( Mike) Thalman, Debbie (Wally) Kane, sisters Janet (Ken) Nielsen and Donna (Ralph) Wallace, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ron will be missed, remembered and loved by all of us.
