Ronald A. Folenga, age 70 of Rensselaer, passed away Friday January 17, 2014 in Lafayette, Indiana.
Ron was born on October 22, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Andrew E. Folenga and Martha F. (Gibson) Folenga, both deceased. On July 3, 1965, in Chicago, He married Marguerite Kearns, who survives. He retired from Talbert Trailers after 32 years of employment. He enjoyed watching football and traveling. He loved his family dearly and had a genuine love for people. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite, and four loving daughters, Laura (David) Pizer of Beavercreek, OH, Eileen (Brian) Davenport of Morocco, Indiana, Maureen (William) Cowgill of Wheatfield, Indiana and Andrea (Jason) Bufkin of Rensselaer. Also surviving are sisters Rita (John) Wilson of Michigan, Barbara Steffens of Florida, Martha Bilger of Illinois, Mary Boyde of Pennsylvania and one brother, Joseph Folenga of Michigan. Ron also has seven grandchildren, Brianne (Shaun) Hannah, Kyle Davenport, Amanda Pizer, Erin Cowgill, John Cowgill, Mariah Davenport and Natalie Bufkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Douglas.
