Ronald Owens Pitt, 72, a resident of Glen Burnie for the past 46 years, died peacefully at his home with his wife and family by his side on April 20th, after a seven month illness. Mr. Pitt was born May 29, 1933 in Baltimore, Md. He resided and was educated there until joining the Marine Corps in 1952. On December 20th of that same year, he married Beverly Mae Arnold, his childhood sweetheart. A veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserve and the U.S. Marines, Mr. Pitt was employed as a diver for the Glenn L. Martin Co. and as a supervisor with Kennecott Copper Refinery and SCM Chemicals until his retirement in 1998.
