Ronald J. Lambrecht, 79, of Brighton, Colorado, died on October 11th, 2020 at his home.
Ron was born in Greeley, Colorado to August and Rose Lambrecht on April 30th, 1941. He grew up on the family farm just west of Fort Lupton. He graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1959. After graduation, he attended Denver Business School and finally found himself joining the Navy out in San Diego, California. He served on a guided missile cruiser in the Vietnam War. Before his tenure in the Navy was over, he met the love of his life, Carolyn Sack. After they were married they moved back to Fort Lupton to start the legacy of the Lambrecht family.
Upon Ron’s return to Fort Lupton, he gained employment with IBM.
Ron loved to be busy. It is often said that if he wasn’t moving, he was sleeping. He was always cleaning, mowing, trimming and hoeing. He had this hoe that was honed to a sliver through the use and abuse he subjected it to as he waged war on anything that resembled a weed. When the day grew nigh, and there was no light left in the sky, Dad would be snoozing at the kitchen table, defying gravity as he slept upright in the kitchen chair. As we relax our smile, we pause to remember the man that was a stranger to no-one, a person of commitment and integrity, and someone that added a dose of laughter to every room he entered.
For the past 10 years he has lived at his current residence, with his wife Doris.
Ron is survived by his wife Doris, his sister Pat Dinkel, his brother Bob (Susie) and his sons, Brian (Rhonda), Bruce (Pam), and Brent (Lynnette). In addition, he has 7 grandchildren: Dillon, Brayden, Brenna, Kendyl, Emma, Rianne, and Kate. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife Carolyn, and brother Jerry.
