Ron D. “Cowboy” Call, Sr., age 78, of Fair Oaks, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at home with his loving wife by his side.
Ron was born on April 11, 1942, in Gary, Indiana the son of Raymond and Myrtle (Worley) Call, both deceased. On November 30, 1962, he married Rosalita Patzschke who survives. Ron worked as a welder and mechanic for Local #150, Union Operating Engineers, in the mills for 20 plus years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Horseshoe Club, Virgie Church Dart League, and avid outdoorsman, hunting & fishing, and a golfer on the Lake Village Men’s League.
Ron is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosalita Call of Fair Oaks, IN; children: Ronald D. Call, Jr. of Fair Oaks, IN; Dawn R. (Bruce) Toppen of DeMotte, IN; grandchildren: Jonathan Broertjes, Joshua (Kelli) Broertjes, Austin (Jessica) Call, Jessica Rose Call, Rachel (Erich) McGhee, Eric (Heather) Toppen; great-great grandchildren: Leighton, Allison, Karley, Jaylynn, Nichole, Danielle, Stella, Alex, Meghan, Elli, and Nora; great-great grandson, Isaac; siblings: Ray Call, Gary (Marilyn) Call, Sue (Melvin) Robinson, Steve (Lois) Call, numerous nieces & nephews.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sharon Cunningham, and 2 brothers, Larry Call and Jack Call.
