Ronald Lyle “Ron” Anderson went to be with his Heavenly Father April 16, 2014. He was born Nov. 9, 1951, in Harvard, Neb., and grew up in Vicksburg, where he retired in 2009 from River 101.3 after more than 35 years in broadcasting.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle “Andy” Anderson; his sister, Debbie Anderson Murray; and his grandchildren, Tyler Daniel Smith and Hadyn Anderson Smith.
His is survived by his wife, Dutch Anderson; his mother, Myrtle Anderson; his brothers, Mickey Anderson (Lucille) of Pearl, Archie Anderson (Barbara) of Starkville and Steve Anderson of Nashville, Tenn; a sister, Pam McCoy (Tim) of Florence; a son, MacBranning (Dana); three daughters, Niki Davis (Billy), Jan Wasner (Eddie) and Jennifer Smith (Trey); 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
