Romualda Quintero Leija, 78, a resident of Bliss, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas.
Romualda was born on February 7, 1944 in Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the daughter of Florencio Quintero Perez and Zenona Guillen Rodriguez. She was raised and educated in Presa De Los Quintero, Dr. Arroyo Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
She married Abraham Leija Martinez on November 8, 1958 in Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was her first and only true love.
Romualda is survived by her nine children: four sons – J. Cruz Leija of Jerome, Javier Leija of Gooding, Alberto Leija of Bliss and Fernando Leija of Pipestone, Minnesota; five daughters – Maria Luisa Leija of Kuna, Modesta Leija Salgado of Kuna, Estela Maxwell of Boise, Maria Leija-Lara of San Antonio, Texas and Anna V. Leija-Valdez of Jerome; one brother – Bruno Quintero of Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico; two sisters – Trina Pena of San Antonio, Texas and Julia Quintero Bernal of Monterey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico; and her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband – Abraham Leija; her father – Florencio Quintero; her mother – Zenona Guillen Rodriguez; and her son – Francisco Leija.
