Romeo C. DiLallo, 78, died September 14, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Dianne; his children, Romea Elisa Huggins, Kurt Russell Foster; grandchildren, Joshua Huggins and wife, Sarah and Abigayle Huggins; his great grandson, Noah; his brother, Al Simballa and wife, Jackie; nephews, Tony and Chris; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romeo DiLallo Sr. and Amalia Simballa and husband ,Tony. Romeo was loved by all who met or knew him. He would make an immediate impression on anyone he met and enjoyed making people feel comfortable and special, even stangers became instant friends. Romeo was a charming personality who loved to entertain. He joined the United States Navy and served our country on the aircraft carrier USS Shangri La which was quite an experience for a young man from Tijeras. After serving honorably in the Navy, he attended and graduated from the University of New Mexico where he was an active member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He also had a band, “Romeo and the Playboys”. After college he became an entertainer in Las Vegas, NV in the style of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. He was later in broadcasting and was general manager of KVSF in Santa Fe. Romeo was active in home development in Denver and Albuquerque and served on the Bernalillo Planning and Zoning committee for nine years as Chairman of the Board three times. Then in the late 70’s he joined the family business, Molly’s Bar, which he and his wife still own. Mr. DiLallo had a passion for playing golf, loved music, and enjoyed all sports – especially professional football.
