Romelle Ann Jones, age 85, of Tipton, IN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at IU Health Tipton Hospital. She was born in Tipton, IN on May 31, 1935 to Oscar & Geneice (Clouser) Porter. She married Charles N. Jones on June 6, 1958. They shared 33 years of marriage before Charles passed away in 1991.
Romelle graduated from Tipton High School in 1953. After graduating, she started her career in the banking industry with Tipton Building and Loan at the age of 18. She worked in the same industry until the day she retired in the early 1990’s.
Romelle loved nothing more than to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed chatting on the phone, it was more of a hobby of hers; nothing made her happier than to engage in conversation with those she loved.
Her laugh was contagious. She was loving and caring, her kindness surpassed all others.
Left to carry on Romelle’s legacy of love is her daughter Marla Ryan.
