Rolland Edward “Rollie” Haungs, 89, of Washington, IL passed away peacefully at 11:10 am on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Unity Point Health-Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 11, 1927 in Peoria, IL to the late Edward and Clara (Gruba) Haungs. He married Leona Lea Roman on September 30, 1950. She preceded Rollie in death on May 18, 1980. He then married Pam Jones on November 4, 1988. She survives.
Also surviving are his children Diane (Dick) Thorn and Stephen (Dianne) Haungs; step-children Dawn Guerrero, Nikki (Mark) Harris, and Gerry (Terry) Guerrero; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Rollie was an honorary U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He served from 1945-1947 in the Army and European Theater.
