Roland D. Hamburg, age 78 of Midland, passed away Friday November 23, 2018 at Story Point, Independence Village.
The son of the late Carl and Lucille (Rettinghouse) Hamburg was born in Centralia, Illinois on April 7, 1940. Roland had been employed with The Dow Chemical Company until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed astronomy and photography.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, the former Frances Putney whom he married on August 28, 1964 in Berkeley, California; son, Mark (Michelle) Hamburg; daughter, Jennifer (David) Kirby; grandsons, Max and Gavin Hamburg.
