Roland R. “Bob” Bauder, 76, of Quakertown died Fri., Sept. 17 in LifeQuest Nursing Center. He was the husband of Rachael (Dries) Bauder. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in May. Born in Center Valley, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Eva (Yeakel) Bauder. Roland graduated from Coopersburg High School. He served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of East Swamp Church, Quakertown. He was a welder for 35 years at Ametek U.S. Gauge until retiring in 1995. Surviving with his wife, sons, Steve and wife Darlene of Center Valley, Jim of Quakertown, Tim and wife Shelley of Coopersburg; daughter, Sue Sheaffer and husband Bryan of Zionsville; grandchildren, Devon, Danielle, Mitchell, Steven, Troy, Caleb, Kaysie, Dylan, Derek; great-grandson, Aaron; brother, Richard of Millersville; sisters, Dorothy Gehman of Tuckerton, NJ, Virginia Wutka of East Granby, CT, Loretta Barrett of Millersville, PA. He was predeceased by sister Doris.
