Roger Wagner,70, passed away on April 21, 2017 in GlenAllen Alaska. He was born on Dec. 28, 1946 to Theron and Zerita (Potter) Wagner. He graduated from Freeport High School in 1964 and joined the Army where he was a member of the 101st Air Bourne Division. He attended HCC and later relocated to Minneapolis, MN. There he worked and was a member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union.

In 1995, Roger realized a life-long dream and moved to Alaska. He traveled all over the state working several jobs including the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, working as a commercial salmon fisherman in Bristol Bay and as a general contractor. His proudest accomplishment was his cabin which he built on 20 acres of homestead land. He was a friend to many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors are his brother Robert (Carol) Wagner. Their children Matt (Rachel) Dusek, Julie Dusek, Meghan Wagner, Jeff (Mahfam) Wagner. A sister Mary Ann (Ken) Mette. Their children Bryan, Carly, and Zach. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Maggie, who was his constant companion and loyal companion.
