Warden Roger W. “Bargie” Everson(retired) passed away November 7, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Roger was born to the late George Andrew Everson and Louise Piper Everson. He leaves to mourn his wife of 61 years, Martha Pullen-Everson, his children Khris (David) Crenshaw, Roger II (Ann) Everson, Christopher(Jackie) Everson  and Jodi Everson.

He leaves behind his sister and brother in laws, Ruby “Jackie” (Dennis) Daniels and Bishop Augustus (Michele) Pullen and Jessie Kennedy; his nephew Craig (Maurice) Everson. He also leaves to mourn his cherished and loving 20 grandchildren, and 16 great-grand children, special cousin Pearl Harris and several god-children and a host of family and friends.

Roger is predeceased by his parents, his brothers George “Sonny” Everson and Oliver “Sug” Rosario, son in law David Crenshaw, brother in law Carl ( Linda) Pullen, Richard “Dick”  Kennedy, and sister in law Jimmie (Serge) Reynolds. Roger was a Korean War Veteran honorably discharged. He remained in the Army Reserves, while employed at the Post Office. He moved on to work in the New Haven community as a health planner at S.C.C.C.H.I., Executive Director of the Hill Neighborhood Corporation, and later retiring as Warden for D.O.C.
