Roger “Rocky” Merle McDaniel, Jr., 43 of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, August 1, 2016. He was born in Eagle, Pennsylvania, June 19, 1973, a son of Roger M. McDaniel, Sr., and Diana Overberger. Roger is survived by his wife, together for 20 years, Catherine V. Smith McDaniel.
Roger worked as a self-employed carpenter for most of his life, and was a member of the Elks #308 in Grafton. He enjoyed his time with his son, drawing and playing the guitar.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his step-mother, Cathy McDaniel and grandmother, Violet McDaniel both of Grafton; two daughters, Maria and Angeleia Mayle of Grafton; a son, Seth McDaniel of Grafton; two sisters, Violet Slavinski and husband E.J., of Martinsburg, WV and Kristy McDaniel and companion Jose of Grafton; three brothers, Matthew McDaniel and companion Erika, Aaron and Adam Overberger all of Grafton; a grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Challis and Jessie Stull and Merle McDaniel.
