Roger L. Jarman, 71, of Edwardsville, IL, born Tuesday, September 14, 1948 in Granite City, IL and passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the Evelyn House in St. Louis, MO surrounded by his family.
Roger served in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from US Steel and also worked for the Troy Police Department in the 70’s, a Deputy for the Madison County Coroner’s Office and Laughlin Funeral Home and Ambulance Service for over 17 years. Roger loved to travel, to meet people, never meeting a stranger, riding around in the jeep with the top off, photography and listening to the Beatles. Most of all Roger loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Margaret (nee Caulk) Jarman.
Surviving are his son, Roy (Sarah) Jarman of Troy, IL; step-son, James (Sheila) Hall of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Alexandria and Samantha Jarman, Trevor Hall and Zachary (Lindsay) Hall; great-grandchild, Elsie Hall; brothers, Gary (Brenda) Jarman of St. Peters, MO and Kelvin (Lynn) Jarman of Belleville, IL.
