Roger L. Chamberlain, age 79, of Fair Oaks, Indiana passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Rensselaer Care Center. Roger was born October 19, 1938, in Rensselaer, Indiana to Percy and Ramona (Hufty) Chamberlain. He was a lifetime resident of Newton County, graduating from Mt. Ayr High School with the Class of 1956.
On October 9, 1993, in Mt. Ayr, Indiana, Roger married Fran Barlow who survives. Roger was a lifetime farmer, had been an insurance agent for 15 years and was a member of the Jackson Township Advisory Board, a position he held for over forty years.
Roger was a member of the Mt. Ayr United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving with his loving wife Fran is one daughter, Rena (Mark) Deardurff of Morocco, IN, five step-children, Colette (John) McCoy of Otisco, IN, Christina (Chad) Tennant of Garner, NC, Cathy Rowe of Brookston, IN, Steve (Jodi) Molenaar and Jeff (Amy) Molenaar both of Rensselaer, Indiana and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Randy Chamberlain, a grandchild, and two brothers, Don and Gordon Chamberlain.
