Roger L. Booth, age 61 of the East View community passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at United Hospital Center. He was born June 30, 1956; the son of the late Boyd Odell and Kathleen Lillie (Skinner) Booth.
Roger is survived by his brother Clarence R. “Bucky” Booth and wife, Debbie and their children, Angela K. Booth Romero and Robbie Thompson; two brother-in-law’s; and several nieces and nephews who he loved and treated as his own children.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Matilda Booth who he married on October 8, 1988; his brother, Anthony O. “Mickey” Booth and his wife, Carole; and his sister, Alma Jane Booth.
Roger was a true man of God and a preacher of the gospel. He enjoyed conducting Bible studies and diving into the words of Jesus and loved southern gospel music.
