WINSTED –DZIEDZIC – Roger Joseph Dziedzic, Sr., passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2014. He was the loving husband of Cynthia (Guerin) Dziedzic. Born October 29, 1936 in Torrington, CT; the son of the late Roger A. Dziedzic and Ruth A. Ozbet. Roger served in the U.S. Marine Corps, was Captain of Engine #3 in Winsted from 1969-1986 and then Deputy Chief from 1986-1994. He was also employed by Northwestern Regional #7 for 27 years as the Building and Grounds Keeper. He was an avid NASCAR, Washington Redskin and Boston Red Sox fan. Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather known for being a charmer and joker. In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Roger Dziedzic, Jr., Michael Dziedzic, Dwayne Grondin, Robert (Lynn) Grondin, Glen (Lisa) Dziedzic, Lee (William) Levan and Lorrie Vaill; a brother, Charles; a sister, Janet; grandchildren, Sherice, Dwayne Jr., William Jr., Kayla, Twayna, Tyler, Dudley and Stevie; and great grandchildren, Abigail, Aiden and Austin.
