Our Heavenly Father welcomed Roger G. Desper , 70 of Fairmount into his loving embrace on September 16, 2013, after he collapsed at home.
He was born tothe late George C.Desper and the late DorothyP. (Campbell) DesperonSeptember 19, 1942 in Muncie, Indiana.He graduated from Yorktown High School in 1960, attended Ball State Universityand earned an associates degree from Ivy Tech in Heating/ Air Conditioning and spent He served 6 years in the National Guard,and was an expert marksman and taught this subject after his military service.He was an avid fisherman, Bass Master and woodworker.He retired from Chrysler, Kokomo, in February 2002 after 30 years of service.He was a member and trustee of Back Creek Friends Meeting. He leaves behind his beloved Mary Ellen, who was at his side, Twin Brother: Ralph (Janice) Desper, Anderson, IN Nephew: David Desper, Anderson, IN 4 Step-children;Lynn Gosser, Marion, Ellen (Rob)McClain, Gas City L. Mike (Rebecca) Mitchell, Syracuse, IN Patrick (Carmen) Mitchell, Marion, IN 8 step-grandchildren and 12 Step-Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister Mary E. Desper in 1989.
