Roger Eugene Duckett, 77, died Friday, May 5, 2017,at Providence Anderson Post Acute, Anderson, Indiana.
Roger was born in Fairmount, Indiana on September 3, 1939, son of the late Floyd Duckettand Wilma (Ervin) Duckett. He married Mary Alice Gerber on February 24, 1992. She preceded him in death.
Roger retired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1995. As a motorcycle enthusiast, Roger loved attending bike week in Daytona, Florida and rode his 1976 BMW in 48 states. He received an award for riding 100,000 miles in his lifetime. He had previously owned a 1950 Mercury and enjoyed showing it in the James Dean Car Shows.
Roger is survived by two daughters, Tamala Tammy (Joseph) Backs, Avon, IN, and Renee(Marcus) Henry, Jonesboro, IN;Five Grandchildren; Andrea (Backs) Chin, Amanda Backs,Braden, Brent, and Bryce Henry;Two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Dylan Chin;Sister, Shirley Lamons, Bluffton, IN; and sister-in-law CaroleDuckett, Marion, IN. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by daughter, Rhonda Duckett and brother, Dewayne Duckett.
