Roger E. Tidaback, 89, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Manor Court in Peru.
He was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru Township High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Marlene Smudzinski on September 13, 1952 at St. Hyacinth’s Church, LaSalle. Mr. Tidaback was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Peru. He was a trumpet player and enjoyed playing with various local groups, including the Johnny Kaye Orchestra and the Peru Municipal Band.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; three children, Dr. Dale (Anne) Tidaback of Fairfax Station, VA, Jack (Lynn) Tidaback, RPh of Grande Ridge and Jane (Robert) Bishop, RN of Ooltewah, TN; eight grandchildren, Kate, Chad, Trent, Morgan, Jack, Mia, Mallori and Nick; one great-grandson, Teddy; one brother, Darryl (Diane) Tidaback of Paducah, KY and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ralph and Alan Tidaback.
