Roger Dale Jewell, Sr., age 64, of Grafton, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Philippi, May 19, 1945, a son of the late Clarence and Bettie Marie (Hunt) Jewell. He is survived by: his wife, Brenda (Ward) Jewell, they were married October 28, 1967; one son, Roger D. Jewell, Jr. and wife Sally, of Fairmont; two daughters, Rhonda Jewell, of Canada, and Ariel Jewell, at home; four grandchildren, Desiree Rosier and Marina Rosier, of Grafton, Mark A. Ashcraft, of Beckley, and Damien Jewell, of Fairmont; three great grandchildren, Akira Edison, Jeramiah Rosier, and Keegan Rosier; two favorite cousins, Sue Neubauer and husband Bill, and Valerie Radabaugh and husband Todd. In addition to his parents Roger was preceded in death by two brothers, and one sister. Roger was a disabled Marine Corp and National Guard veteran having served in Vietnam and Desert Storm.
