Roger A. ”Cookie” Cookman, 68, Anderson, died October 29, 2002 at his residence due to heart failure. He was born January 18, 1934 in Anderson, IN, and resided in Anderson, IN. lived in Anderson his entire life He retired from the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors in 1987 after 35 yrs. of employment

He was a 1952 Graduate of Anderson High School, and served an apprenticeship for 4 yrs. With Guide Lamp as a special machine builder He served in the Navy Reserves for 12 yrs. He was a Member of Gold Wing Rider Association, The Independent Order of Foresters, and U.A.W. Local #663. He loved restoration, woodworking, remodeling and traveling.

He is survived by his Wife of 16 yrs., Karen Yost Cookman of Anderson, Daughter: Connie husband, Steven Moore of Huntington, IN, Sons: Dirk Cookman of Big Rapids, MI, Quintin wife, Angie Cookman of Pendleton, Brian McBride of Indianapolis and Andrew McBride of Alexandria, IN, Mother-in-law: Louise Webb of Anderson, Grandchildren: Steven Moore, Jr. PhD., Rachel Moore, Crystal husband, Michael Benett, Shazalynne McBride, Dustin Cookman, Joshua Cookman and Matthew Cookman; one great grandchild on the way. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Parents: Ray & Lillian Small Cookman, Sons: Chris A. Cookman & Eric Stephen Cookman, and brothers, Donald Cookman & Richard Cookman.
