Roger B. (Tex) Pittman, 89, of Toney went peacefully to his Heavenly Home Friday, February 12,2021 surrounded by family. He was a proud Korean War veteran and a faithful member of Mable Hill Baptist Church. He was born in Alvin, Texas and after the military settled in Alabama with the love of his life who preceded him in death. He is survived by 2 son’s; Joe Pittman of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Patrick Pittman of Toney. 1 Daughter-n-law; Renea Pittman of Toney. 6 grandchildren; Roger Paul (Chasity) Pittman, Kacie (Jimmy) Howett, Brandon Pittman, Christian (Jason) Allen, Dale Pittman Jr., and Jed Pittman. 10 great grandchildren; Madison Pittman, Mason Pittman, Kameron Smith, Anna Howett, Brook Howett, Jaxson Smith, Caleb Howett, Zoe Allen, Kennedee Allen, and Montanna Pittman. 3 brothers; Albert Dale (Jeanette) Pittman of North Carolina, Billy (Patsye) Pittman of Texas, Jerry Pittman of Tennessee and sister-n-law; Joanne Pittman of Texas. 2 “adopted/like” sons; Mike Clough of Tenn. and Danny Brown of Toney, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pat Pittman, 2 sons; Benny and Bobby Pittman. 1 granddaughter; Tracie Pittman, twin brother; Ryan Pittman of Texas, and sister; Mary Jane Clark of Texas.
