Roger Allen Pratt, 79, of Patriot, IN, passed away at 6:20 AM, Tuesday, July 13th, peacefully, at his residence. Roger was born in Elrod, IN on July 29, 1930, a son of the late Elizabeth (Hehe) Pratt Deburger and Charles Pratt. On August 20, 1949 he married LaVerne (Ryker) Pratt, who passed away in 1989.
He was a foster parent for over 32 years for mentally handicapped clients. Roger also worked for the railroad and was a logger for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed by all.
Roger is survived by
two sons Roger Wayne Pratt (Jeannie), of Patriot, IN; Paul Pratt (Cathy), of Osgood, IN.
by grandchildren Randy, Eric, Crystal, Brandon & Blake Pratt and Jamie Caffee
by sisters June McIntosh, Norma Hopper, Shirley Denton, Rose Eldridge, Tressie Verna, Jackie, Carol, Gail, Rhonda, Charlene & Joan, by a brother Ray Pratt and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife LaVerne, daughter Kathleen Caffee, son-in-law Jerry Caffee, brothers Chester and Jimmy Pratt.
