Roger A. “Butch” Lavallee, 82, of Millbury, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
His high school sweetheart and wife of 32 years, H. Janice (Langway) Lavallee, died in 1993.
He leaves three children: Paul L. Lavallee and his wife, Raemah A. (Williams) Lavallee, of Worcester, Peter C. Lavallee and his wife, Kelly J. (Mottram) Lavallee, of Bradford, and Lisa M. (Lavallee) Vaughan and her husband, James B. Vaughan, of Millbury; eight grandchildren; a great granddaughter; a sister, Joyce (Lavallee) Lafortune of Dunnellon, FL; and his beloved faithful dog, Jez.
In addition to his wife, Butch was predeceased by his parents, Adelard J. “Del” and Oliva M.
Born in Millbury on May 27, 1938, he lived there for most of his life.
Butch’s passion for electronics led him next to work for Alden Electronics of Westborough. During his more than 20 years of employment at Alden, he travelled the globe and was able to return multiple times to France, his favorite destination.
Finally, he established Val-Pro International, selling, installing and training military operators of weather systems throughout the Caribbean area, a business he guided until his death.
Butch was adored by his children and grandchildren who will most remember his love for his family, his passion for cooking, and his contagious laugh. Though they will miss him immensely, they are comforted knowing he has been reunited for eternity with Janice, his one true love, and with all of his close family members.
