Rodney Nicholas Williamson was born December 3, 1960 to E.W. and Varnell Williamson in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Rodney attended the IPS School System and graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1978. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1979 and served his country overseas. After returning from overseas he was employed at Firestone, National Starch, and the VA Hospital.
Rodney had a passion for cooking. He was a proud graduate of Second Helpings. Rodney was a sports fanatic. He loved anything and everything sports related. Rodney was a gracious person and would help anybody. He had a loud distinctive voice and a very inviting laugh. Rodney had an adoration for life and love for God.
On Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 60 years old, Rodney left this world to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.W. and Varnell Williamson and sister, Daphne Williamson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Renise Shobe-McQuay (Gabriel); grandchildren, Ron’Tel, Gabriel, Jr., Ryelle, Rylund, Rosario and Recio; sisters, Pamela Sweatt, Shirley (Alonzo) Grisby; brother, Tracy (Marsha) Williamson; loving companion, Ramona Guerin and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
