Rodney Cecil Loper, 61, a native and resident of St. Stephens, Alabama, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 6, 2016.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Stephens. Rodney coached football and baseball for various organizations in the area for over 15 years. Rodney was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer, dove, and duck hunting. He was an operator at Olin Chemical for many years, and also volunteered as an EMT at the plant. Rodney was a Mason and a member of the St. Stephens Lodge #81. He loved his sons, Jared and Tyler, and all their friends.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ethelene Moseley Loper. He is survived by his sons, Rodney Jared Loper of Jackson, AL and Jacob Tyler Loper of St. Stephens, AL; and a granddaughter, Laura Kendall.
