Rodger E. Miller, 88, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. He was born to Joseph and Ethel (Goldstrum) Miller on December 13, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Rodger enlisted in the United States Army Air Force in June of 1947 he was honorably discharged in June of 1950. He married his lifetime sweetheart Jane Kercher on March 11, 1957 in Angola. Rodger worked as a Senior Designer for General Motors for 38 years, retiring in 1992. Rodger loved to spend time reading. He was very active, loving to run. Rodger would run 5 miles a day on County Line Road. People who drove County Line Road, knew that they would see him at some point in his daily journey. Rodger also enjoyed working on cars, when family members were having trouble with them. He was a very social person, going and meeting with his buddies for lunch every week.

Rodger is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane Miller of Greenwood; his 7 children, Rodger (wife, Carol) Miller of Oolgewah, TN, David (wife, Kelly) of Greenwood, Cindy Cole of Santa Monica, CA, Larry (wife, Teresa) Miller of Indianapolis, Linda Miller of Shelbyville, Lisa Miller of Greenwood, and Lane Miller of Fort Wayne; a brother, Frank Miller of Cleveland, OH; 18 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Rodger was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ethel Miller; a brother, Joseph “Bud” Miller Jr., and two sisters, Joy Wietendorf and Betty Grasslin.
