Rodger Adair Smith
July1, 1943 – May 20, 2016

Rodger Adair Smith born July 1, 1943 in Ogden, Utah, to Frank and Margaret Herrick Smith, was reunited May 20, 2016, with his eternal companion and high school sweetheart Rosemary.

He graduated from Weber High School in 1961. He married Rosemary Russell on March 14, 1963 in Pocatello, Idaho; their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Rodger was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, faithfully serving as Bishop and other stake and ward callings.

He learned early on the value of hard work and continued this in his life instilling it in his children and grandchildren. This work ethic lead to a fulfilling career as a USDA compliance officer, where he touched many lives and built lasting friendships.

Dad loved camping, boating, fishing, and anything that involved his family. His love for cars, trucks, and motorcycles was deepened more when sharing these with his loved ones. He enjoyed collecting and sharing with others his love for watches.

He is survived by his children: Brenda Smith, Jeffery (Michelle) Smith, Kevin (Nick) Smith, Kristin (Christopher) Pingree, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and siblings Doran (Judy) Smith, and Debbie (Jay) Christensen.

Rodger was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary, and parents, Frank and Margaret Smith.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Van Christiansen, Annette, Brian and Ina of Peak Specialty Group.
