Roderick L. Moreland, 84, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in Alamogordo. Rod was born in Melrose, NM on August 22, 1922 to William and Edna (Elliott) Moreland.
He is survived by his wife Edna M. Moreland of 48 years. A daughter Enola French and husband Carroll of Artesia; son Roderick (Levi) Moreland of Alamogordo; two grandsons Carroll French and wife Cynthia and daughter Annabel of Albuquerque, Devin Moreland of Alamogordo; sisters, Sara Jo King of Bedford, TX, Elsie Lamontine of CO; brother, William (Bill) Moreland and wife Leatrice of Farmington; Jeff and Dolores Barns of Edgewood and very very close friend, Carol Kenyon and husband Ward of Alamogordo and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant granddaughter, Chelsea Leigh French, three brothers and three sisters.
