In the morning hours of January 22, 2014 our beloved Robyn Lynn Kelly departed this world. She was a true fighter and fought the good fight against the ruthless disease that afflicted her body over the last 13 months with remarkable grace and dignity. And though our hearts are broken, we are consoled in knowing that Robyn passed peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends and bathed in Love.
Born on October 5, 1963 to Lorie Hansen in Garden Grove, CA., she became a resident of Ventura in 1976. Of her many artisan talents, gourmet cooking, intricate drawings, Robyn was most proud of her award winning accomplishments in her crochet works – which were featured in numerous publications over the last several years.
Robyn was a gentle person …. a free spirit with beautiful blue eyes that seemed to have grown brighter during the last several months. She was a true Sarcastic with a witty sense of humor that will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. Most of all we will miss her all encompassing heart whose Love and Grace had no boundaries.
Robyn was preceded in death by our Grandmother Bobbie Scheifle with whom she was deeply bonded.
She is survived by her Mother, Lorie Hansen, Father, Jack Hansen Sr., (Sharon), Brother, Jack Hansen Jr. (Anna), Sister, Karen Hedrick, Sister, Amber Hansen, Daughter, Desiree Skye, Nieces, Ashlea and Haylea Hedrick, Nephews, Jack Hansen and Keller Hansen, her Great Nephew, Lucky Hedrick and numerous extended family.
Our family would like to extend our immense gratitude to the doctors and staff at VCMC who were fervent champions of Robyn’s during her plight. To Robyn’s testament, she made a profound impact upon the halls of that hospital, upon those directly involved in her care and some that never met her.
