Roby Conley, age 76, of Medaryville, Indiana passed away February 18, 2018 at his daughter’s home.
Roby was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on March 30, 1941, the son of Cevard and Cora (Smith) Conley.
Roby was a lifetime resident of the area and attended the Newland Public Schools. On August 1, 1970, in Rensselaer, he married Patricia M. Marion, who preceded him in death on February 10, 2007. Roby enjoyed farming and was formerly employed as a farm hand at both Gehring Farms and the Emil Savich Farms in rural Rensselaer. Later, he worked at Pullman Standard in Hammond before retiring. Roby was a past member of the Indiana National Guard and a member of the Goodway Baptist Church in Medaryville, Indiana.
Surviving are his loving children, Mable (Frank) Goodwin of Bethel, IN and Perry Dean Conley of Medaryville, IN; siblings, Denny (Josie) Conley of DeMotte, IN, Hurley Conley of Washington, IN, Raymond (Linda) Conley of Church Hill, TN, sister-in-laws, Mary Gwen Conley of Pensacola, FL, Joan Conley of Wheatfield, IN, brother-in-law, Ova Davis of Kouts, IN. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Coty, Candice, Alexis, Allen, Bridget, Billy and Jessey and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia, five brothers, four sisters and one great-grandson.
