Robin Denise Gillis, 65, of Augusta, Georgia formerly of Douglas, Georgia and Green Cove Springs, Florida passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020. Ms. Gillis was born on July 1, 1955 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of Jean Courson Morris and the late Tommie Edwin Gillis.
“Robin loved her family, especially Brandi. Brandi was her daughter, confidant and best friend. Robin loved her babies (pets), especially B.B her mini pincher. Her pets were an integral part of her family thru her entire life. Robin loved to cook and everyone that experienced her cooking also loved for her to cook. She loved to get the inside scoop on cooking from Granny (Faye GIllis) and aunt Marigne. Most of all, Robin loved Jesus Christ.”Robin worked as a social worked for DFACS with the State of Georgia for years, a graduate of Coffee County High School and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Brandi Rosanna Solomon of West Green, GA; mother, Jean C. Morris of Blackshear, GA; brother, Randy Gillis (Michele) of Green Cove Springs, FL; several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Musical selections will be “Amazing Grace” and “”God is Good” sung by Laura Fletcher & Sage Joiner and “Hallelujah” on CD. Sage Joiner played the piano.
