Robin Allane Covington, 64, of Batesville, passed from this walk of life on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at her home in Rosie.
She was born in Batesville on June 12, 1957, to Bobby and Betty Platt Smith. She graduated from Arkansas College and taught at Southside Middle School.
She and Charles Covington were married on June 25, 1976, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Southside. She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church in Rosie where she was very active. Robin played both the piano and organ and she and Charles would sing during many of the church services. She taught youth and was involved in assisting on Wednesday nights with making sure they had cookies and Kool-Aid. Robin was very devoted to God, her husband, and her family.
Robin enjoyed sewing and loved to travel especially visiting places with beaches. She was a loving and kind woman who enjoyed people and doing for others. She always had a house full of boys when her boys were younger. The boys enjoyed racing and rodeos and she would travel all over the country taking them to events.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Betty Smith, of Batesville; sons, John Covington and wife Ashley of Batesville, Brad Covington and wife Jessie of Batesville; brother, Nathan Smith and wife Lynnett, of Batesville; and three grandchildren, Victoria, Ava, and Coy Covington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Covington, and her father, Bobby Smith.
