Roberta “Mae” Pettigrew Sibley, age 72, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at her home in Moreland surrounded by family. She was born July 27, 1944 in Newnan to the late Clyde Elice Pettigrew, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Cole Pettigrew.
Along with her parents, Mae is preceded in death by sister, Syble Pettigrew and brother, Clyde Pettigrew, Jr. She is survived by her husband Robert Gilbert Sibley; children, Robert Milton Sibley and Tammy Sibley Boswell and her husband Robert; sister, Rebecca Smith & her husband William. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mae retired from the Coweta County School system in May of 2004 after 26 years. Before working for the school system she worked at Coweta General Hospital then for Dr. Proctor before she started her family.
