Roberta L. ‘Bert’ Chambers, age 55, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, February 13, 2021, in her residence.
Born in Logansport on Thursday, July 15, 1965, she was the daughter of Gary R. ‘Dick’ and Betty Ann Skaggs Chambers, both of whom survive.
Bert earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Kokomo and was the Director of In-School Suspension and Saturday School at Logansport Jr. High.
Bert was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt. She was lovingly known as “Aunt Bert”, not only to the loves of her life, Dustin, Nic, Victoria and Ben, but to many in Cass County.
It is impossible to summarize Bert’s life with mere words. Her larger-than-life personality and loving spirit has touched so many. She was truly happiest when caring for others. No matter what your “Aunt Bert” story would involve fun, sun, music and laughter. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Also surviving Bert are brother, Gary M. (Glenda) Chambers; sister, Debbie Chambers; brother-in-law, Paul Murray; nephews, Dustin (Shonda) Murray, Nic (Britny) Murray, and Ben (Ryan) Chambers; niece, Victoria (Alex) Bernard; great nephews, Beau Chambers and Theo Murray, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bert’s sister, Melinda Murray, preceded her in death.
