Those left to honor Roberta’s memory include her three sons, Andy (Diana) Stephens of Taylors Falls, Minnesota, Jody Nye of Newton, and Jeremy (Amanda) Nye of Altoona, Iowa; her daughter, Robin (Steve) Zimmerman of Johnston, Iowa; four grandchildren, Josh (Erin) Yeager, Julie (Matt) Farver, Jacqueline Yeager, and Aaron Stephens; four great-grandchildren, Hannah Yeager, Dylan and Drew Farver, and London Stephens; her step father, Floyd Jurgens of Newton; brother-in-law: Dave Vorhies of Newton; her special friend, Arthur “Andy” Ver Schuur, nieces, Susan Jones and Nancy Ross and nephew, Steve Vorhies. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Stewart and Jo (Yates) Jurgens; husband, Frank Nye in 1998; and sister, Mikelle Vorhies.
Roberta was a nurse and worked as a nursing home administrator.
