Roberta “Bobbie” Bowers, age 88, of DeMotte, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village.
She was born November 7, 1932 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Murdock and Hazel (Ulbrich) MacKeigan. Roberta graduated from Tolleston High School, Class of 1951. She married Cloyce A. Bowers, Jr. on May 11, 1952. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2010. Roberta was a homemaker and raised their 3 children. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church. Roberta loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Roberta is survived by her children: Donna (Dave) Takacs of DeMotte, IN; James (Anita) Bowers of Plainsville, OH; Tom (Jayne) Bowers of DeMotte, IN; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and sister, Loretta Williams of Crown Point, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, James MacKeigan.
