Our dear mother Roberta Atkins Raiford, 84, of Suffolk, VA passed away on June 11, 2024.Roberta was born on July 29, 1939, to George William Atkins and Mildred Wheeler Atkins of Sussex County, Virginia, then later moved to the Town of Waverly. Roberta was predeceased by her parents, George and Mildred Atkins, and her husband of 44 years, Philip Raiford Jr. She is survived by her three children, Philip Raiford, III (Cyndi), Jennifer R. Metcalf (Steve), and Jeannie R. Outlaw (Chad) and her grandchildren, Georgia and Stephen Metcalf, and Caitlin and Lauren Outlaw.
