Robert E. “Buggy Bob” Young, 82 of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday evening.
Bob was born September 22, 1935, in Spencer Indiana to Joseph and Evelyn Matty Young. He graduated from ISU with a teaching degree. In June 1962 he and his wife started Arab Pest Control in Crawfordsville. Bob was a member of Linden United Methodist Church, Shrine club, & Elks. He also served on the Board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club for many years, the Indiana Pest Management Association board for 7 years, and was past president. He was the Secretary/treasurer of Arab Pest Management. Bob enjoyed music, travel, boating, watching his grandchildren in 4-H, and winter trips to Florida. He loved being with family and friends.
Bob was married to Eleanor (Nornie) Brown on August 19, 1959, she preceded him in death on February 15, 2017. He is survived by his children Sarah Young Florey (Jeff) of Crawfordsville, Jeffrey Scott Young (Lisa) of Newburgh, IN, and daughter-in-law Kim Dagley of Darlington. Grandchildren Jennifer Engle (Clint), Lindsay Silvey, Evan Florey, Alyssa, Logan and Connor Young, Brinton, and Audrey Sieferman. Great Grandchildren Hallie, Ryleigh, Jaxon, Annabelle, and Ezra.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and his son Rob Young.
